Ryan Hood is a professional video editor, producer, and director based in Kansas City, MO.
Ryan got his start in the world of video production at Craig Hospital, a world-renowned spinal cord and traumatic injury hospital in Englewood, CO. The opportunity to highlight unmatched courage and strength from the patients at Craig would ignite a life long passion for storytelling through the medium of film.
After over a decade of experience in hospital branding and marketing, Ryan moved into the world of hip hop music, acquiring a position at Strange Music, Inc. - the number one independent hip hop label in the world. During his tenure there, he worked with artists such as Tech N9ne, Krizz Kaliko, Rittz, ¡Mayday!, and many others. Ryan helped lead the Strange Music video department in producing Strange’s most elaborate video projects to date. His accomplishments there lead to a prominent full time director role with Nashville artist, Jelly Roll. With Jelly, Ryan has produced, directed, and edited over 50 music videos and short films with a consistent rise in quality and viewership.
In 2024, Ryan’s directorial effort in, Lanie Gardner’s music video “Six Feet Deep”, was selected for the Tribeca Film Festival
